Andrew Carnegie
Andrew was born on November 11, 1835, in Dunfermline, Scotland, and named
after his grandfather. He had a very though early life. In 1850 he became a
telegraph messenger boy in the Pittsburgh Office of the Ohio Telegraph
Company at $2.50 per week. Andrew was a very hard working person and he
could memorize all the locations of Pittsburgh’s businesses and the faces of
important men. Carnegie was tired of working at such a small company, he wanted
to have his own carrer, by that time steel was very expensive, so Andrew decided to
start his own steel company. Carnegie made his fortune in the steel industry,
controlling the most extensive integrated iron and steel operations ever owned by
an industry in the states. One of his two great innovations was in the cheap and
efficient mass production of steel by adopting and adapting the bessemer process
for steel making. At the age of 28 he used all his money to start a steel business,
and became the most popular steel person in the states. His company provided
60% of the steel each year, mostly were used in the rail roads. Soon he became
the second richest person in the country, only next to John D. Rockefeller.
During 1901 he sold his factories at a price of 2.5 billion USD. He donated most of
the money to help those who are in need, and he also built libraries for the poor and
support them to go to schools. Andrew died on 1919/8/11, at the age of 83, while
ended up donated a total of 350,695,653 USD in his whole life, an also made a

WWI viewpoint
During
the debate I learned lots of things, first is about WWI, the cause of it and
also how it ended. During this debate I
felt good, at least better than the previous one. Most importantly I learned how to take notes
and how to study a debate. Our first
debate is about the war specifically. I
am in the victims group. What I learned
form it is how WWI started, it’s because a duke got murdered when he is out of
the country. So the war begins. I took some notes about it, and how do I
think as a victim. Somehow I have
starting to get interesting. I started
to know how history works and started to enjoy it. The second debate is about the treaty of Versailles. We have to list out what are the Versailles that
we think is the most fare to all the countries.
At first I thought it will be very hard, but after the debate it is not
as bad as I was expecting. Over all I
learned lots of thing and I am starting to love history. Now I know history is such a important thing, it changes our life from before and it might have changed who we are, history is a contain subject, we can understand the second part without learning the second part. What I liked about the debate this time is I am more well prepared, so I know how to argue with others, also know whats going on actually. Still I was nerves, I should learn how to talk slower and more clear. Otherwise others want fully understand what am I talking about, and I couldn't even express my confident, these are the parts I should work on more. I also liked that Parker tried so hard to express how the victims felt during WWI, they felt sad, stressed out, and anger. I should learn from him next time.

Five stages of Grief
Five stages of Grief
Denial and Isolation
Anger
As the masking effects of denial and isolation begin to wear, reality and its pain re-emerge. We are not ready. The intense emotion is deflected from our vulnerable core, redirected and expressed instead as ANGER. Now I realize I was actually in anger after grandfather passed away.
Bargaining
The normal reaction to feelings of helplessness and is often a need to regain control– I was too young to ask for help
- If only we had sought medical attention sooner…
- If only we got a second opinion from another doctor…
- If only we had tried to be a better person toward them
Depressed
it is a reaction to practical implications relating to the loss. Sadness and regret predominate this type of depression. We worry about the costs and burial. I became quiet and speechless after all.
Acceptance
Reaching this stage of mourning is a gift not afforded to everyone. Death may be sudden and unexpected or we may never see beyond our anger or denial. Now I believe that Grandfather is living in heaven, with happy life.

Nikola Tesla's research
Nikola Tesla was a very great man, he was from Austrian Empire, born on July 10 1856, and died on January 7
1945 in NewYork. He was an electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, physicist, and futurist. He is best know
for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current, electricity supply systems, and considered
one of the greatest engineers in the States. On July 20 1891, at the age of 35 he became an American citizen,
he thought that being an American in more important then those science rewards, because by that time America
was the most powerful country in the world. In 1984, he starte to investigate radiant energy, which helped him
earn lots of money and fame. Tesla’s invention were fully used in the WWII, and it totality changed the life we
live today. The movie Frankenstein was based upon his discover of the electric current. I think he is a great
man, because he invented so many things and he also make our lives much easier and more convenient.

300 Word response for the Shakespeare play on sunday
What an amazing show. To be honest this is my first time watching a Shakespeare play. I was
shocked, because I never thought that a Shakespeare play can be done by only 4 actors in
80 minutes. I was excited when I walked into the theater, it was so dark that I can't even see
my fingers, but the seats were not as good as I expected. I sat at the very last roll, finally the
lights were on, so we put all the focus onto the stage. The first scene seemed to be a little bit
creepy. When the three witches stood out I got surprised, not because it was scary, but the
witches were all boys; I suddenly realized that the play was in Chinese, which made me more
comfortable about it, because I can understand most of the parts, so that I can connect the play
to the textbook I had read in class. I was impressed when I saw them use the dolls to represent
some of the characters, for example lady Macbeth, and Banquo. I think that was a super great
idea, because it can express the kind of feelings that a real person can't do and also save a lot
of cost too! The way they made King Duncan a gigantic doll to magnify his position and show
how people respect him was really a good thought. After the play we had a discussion with
the director. We asked him why all the characters are male? Since lady Macbeth was a very
important role in the play, why they substitute her with a doll? The director told us that in the
early days, Shakespeare play were all acted by male; I found out that was interesting, it is totally
opposite with Taiwanese Operas which were played almost all by girls. I really love this play
and I wish I have more chances to enjoy Shakespeare plays in the future

Super Hero essay~
The movie Spiderman contains Courteous, Truthful, courageous, Loyal, Chaste, and last but not least Honorable. The reason why I love this movie so much is because, he changed for a nurd to a handsome super hero buy just a tiny bit form the spider. I really home I can save the world or at least do some thing that is meaningful and useful for someone in the future.
Spider man was a very nerdy guy in the beginning. He likes to study science, and he is welling to learn and teach science from others. He is a student, and he is a very courteous and out going person, he is welling to make friends with everyone. Once he got bit by a spider while he's doing his study at the lab, he thinks thats nothing but after few days , his life have been changed.
I think spiderman is a very truthful person, he is very honest with his uncle and friends, I think truthful is they key that he succeed. That makes me think of at last he promised the police not to date with his daughter, that way she won't get hurt. I like how he kept his promise.
He is a very courageous person, he will keep trying and never give up. That makes me of when we got injured, he kept trying and never give up, he kept want to save the citizens, that show courage and braveness, with out courageous any thing can't be done. I learned from someone in Cambodia that never try never know!
Spiderman is loyal, he is always on the police's side, he won't be the bad guy just because he's got some super power. He seem to help every person who is in danger, I like the way he looked at everything, everything seems very important to him even thought thats a stranger. I believe that loyalty is a very important roll to be a super hero, otherwise others won't believe in you and so that you can't be a hero without their trust!
Chaste is the best part of human beings. It shows how cute we are and how wise we are. Spider man shows that he is chaste by expressing like a book worm inside the movie, basically he has two sides of personality, First part is to be the super hero, the second part is to be a book worm and stay in the science lab and do some research.
In spider man it doesn't really show that he is a honorable person, because he is still a high school student. However others looks at him with honorable respect, I can tell from their reactions that they really appreciate what he had done, and they way he's done it. Anyways the reason why i like spider man is because he is very smart and kind to others all the time. I hope I can be like him some day.

My viewpoints of Marriage, Kinship, and Politics
It is all about care and love! To me family is the most important thing, because it supports me with everything I need for living. I loved to spent time with my family because I can learn and share lots of things with my parents, including how to study and how to be responsible to myself, and also the atitude toward my life too. For my family, dinner time is the most important time; besides enjoying the meals, we chat and share what had happened during the day, weather they are good or bad; we will always face them together. My dad influenced my the most in my life, without him I may loss directions and will not be able to learn anything. However we are like friends too, we will usually watch sports on TV together and go biking sometimes. I feel really sorry for those who lost their families or even never had one. I can imagine the emptyness in their minds . It is family that makes our lives complete.
Love and loyalty. Marriage plays a very important role in our lives; it means a promise for whole life. We should step up and move on to another category while we get older mentally and physically. I really think people have to make their final decisions seriously before they get married; otherwise it will be unfortunate for their children and even generations, who are innocent. There’s no way for them to avoid the horrible atmosphere and may eventually lead to a very unhealthy environments to grow up. Marriage also means trust, if trust no longer exists in the marriage, it means the marriage is over. We have seen more and more divorces around us recently, I think we should really change that situations by adding more trust, respect and love into marriages. Only a happy marriage creates a happy family.
It is for the public! Politice is mostly about the government, who’s function is to help bring benefit to the majority public. Polictics affects the entire country and even the whole world; we need good people to set up the rules, and carry out good results to help most of the people. A good politiction shouldn’t be selfish, try to benefit form public resources, or ignore what people really need. Bad politictions always think about taking advantage for their own, some even bring wars to people and cause lots of death.

know your MASK
The reason why I choose the small child because, inside my heart I am still a small child, but ironically I look big outside. I am childish and I love to talk nonsense during class time and also while I am hanging out with my friends. For those who know me, they will think that is just Tony, but for those who don't know me well they might think I am a idiot.

World History research Leonid Rogozov
My name is Lonid Rogozov, I am from Russia, I was born on March 14, 1934. My father was killed during the WWII in 1943. I think I am smart, as I became a doctor when I was only 26. From September 1960 until October 1962 I worked in Antarctica as a doctor. I believe you can hardly imagine that being an explorer and scientist in the Antarctic, as the polar winter arrived, leaving my team enveloped in darkness, snowstorms, and extreme cold it was just like end of the world! One morning, I found myself growing ill. I was weak, nauseou, had a fever and pain in the lower belly. As the day progresses I felt worse and worse. What should I do? I had a pain in the upper part of my abdomen later on, which shifted to my right lower quadrant, my body temperature rose to 37.5c. However I had no one to help me. I decided to perform a self surgeon. I had some fears, but I’ve accomplished them on my own. From then on, I decided my goal is to help more people to get out of sickness, diseases and fears. In October 1962 I returned to my old school and started teaching students in the PHD classes. There were lots of historical events that happened around me during my childhood, for example John F Kennedy moved into the White House in 1961. He gave his famous speech “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country”. Unfortunately, two years later in 1963, Kennedy was shot in his car while he was traveling in Washington D.C. at the age of 46. Martin Luther King Jr. made the speech, “I have a dream” on August 28, 1963. More than 200,000 peaceful demonstrators went to Washington D.C. to demand equal rights for Black and Whites. Personal thoughts: I think doctor Leonid Rogozov is a brave and courageous man, he can do a surgery on his own body and still be optimistic, looking forward to developing his new life. I respect his attitude by helping desperate people around the world. I admire him for his grate love, and never settle while facing challenges.
